The Toyota Way was covered in the book club in August 2009 — at the time, though there was background noise about uncharacteristic vehicle recalls, the brake-safety crisis had not yet hit.  Readers new to the book and its ideas will necessarily view Toyota through a different prism than those who read the book in earlier years.
