There’s a backstory here, I can sense it…

We decided to order a “butter chicken” pizza from local pizzeria Mona Pizza, so googled them.  This is what came up…

Mona Pizza

Yes, that’s right — there are two separate Mona Pizza’s in Burnaby, their web addresses separated by a mere hyphen.  I’m going to assume this is the business world equivalent of mitosis rather than parallel evolution — i.e. one group split off from another, instead of two sets of Burnabyites independently naming their restaurant “Mona’s Pizza” and then scrambling for the web address.
In Vancouver, there is (or was) a pair of restaurants — within a block of each other! — called Tandoori King and Tandoori K King, respectively. (I guess that would make it the “tandoori district” on Main & Marine.)
We were told by a member of the community that there were two guys (brothers? cousins?) — who specialized in the food and the marketing respectively.  (Or some such thing.)  So once they split, one had the choice of patronizing the “nice decor” or the “nice food” restaurant…
